Karhu x Universal Works Mestari Control

On 6 April 2023, legendary Finnish sports brand Karhu and British contemporary clothing company Universal Works will come together for a collaborative project, part of Universal Works' ongoing Future Friendship series.
This meeting of minds celebrates Karhu's heritage and Universal Works' philosophy of collaborating with like-minded partners who share their authentic vision of peace, love and, in this case, sole! Universal Works has shaken up the story by bringing a reverse, upside-down exposure of what it means to combine activewear with traditional shapes and silhouettes. The iconic Karhu M logo has been used throughout, but reversed to give a nod to the 'W' in Universal Works. The origin comes from the word 'Mestari' - the Finnish word for 'champion'. Feeling like a winner in the clothes and shoes we wear is never wrong. The collection consists of updated versions of the classic Mestari Control and Trampas shoes in super-soft suede and nylon.
