The Strapcap - perhaps the most recognisable design, this was the hat that started it all. The Strapcap was originally conceived in 1991 by our founder Barry Barr, after Barry lost too many hats in the sea while working as a professional fisherman because they blew off his head. Barry took matters into his own hands and combined sturdy fabric with a strip of nylon webbing to create a functional hat that stayed firmly on his head. More than 30 years later, it has become a true outdoor classic, loved by everyone from fishermen to mountaineers - still made the same way, in the same factory, by the same family as it was all those years ago.
