Naked and Famous Denim Weird Guy - Dia De Los Muertes Selvedge Read more..
The Dia De Los Muertos Selvedge is a 350g Japanese selvedge denim inspired by the vibrant Mexican Day of the Dead tradition. Woven in Okayama, Japan on vintage shuttle looms, it uses rope-dyed short slub yarns to create a textured surface that will develop dramatic, high-contrast vertical fades over time.
Made from 100% Mexican highland cotton, this denim pays homage to its roots with a multi-colored selvedge marking inspired by traditional Mexican sarape blankets. Additional details include contrast stitching, silver-tone metal hardware, and a vegetable-tanned leather patch and pocket flash featuring original artwork by Mexican tattoo artist José Ruiz (also known as Koopa). His illustration depicts a skeleton being led to the underworld by a Xoloitzcuintli, the sacred Mexican hairless dog that guides souls to the afterlife.
- The Weird Guy has a regular, tapered fit; a medium rise, standard thigh, and a slight taper from the knee to the hem.
