Mizuno Contendor - Pristine/Mole/Sunburn

The Contender was originally released in 1995, with design ideas from Mizuno founder Rhiachi Mizuno. It was a lightweight style characterized by stability and support, designed for beginner runners seeking a well-cushioned shoe suitable for both on- and off-road running.

For the upper, the original Contender combined mesh with suede reinforcements for a durable construction while maintaining maximum comfort. The midsole features single-density EVA foam and Mizuno's Transpower technology in the heel, a highly responsive foam insert that also provides shock absorption and additional cushioning. The outsole uses a new, one-piece solid rubber construction with forefoot flex grooves for a smoother heel-to-toe transition.

The classic '90s look and the balanced interplay of canvas mesh and premium suede create a unique blend of casual style and the silhouette's athletic roots. The color scheme is predominantly tonal with light contrasts and subtle accents or contrasting sole elements.
